WHAT DOES A SPEECH PATHOLOGIST DO?

Speech Pathologists are experts in all areas of communication. They are able to determine if you child's speech, language, literacy and communication skills are developing as expected for their age. They are also able to provide intervention to further the development of speech, language, literacy and communication skills.

WHEN SHOULD I SEE A SPEECH PATHOLOGIST?

If you have any concerns about your child's communication it is best to book in an intake session with a Speech Pathologist. They will be able to guide you as to whether an assessment is necessary and provide some strategies to address your concerns.

DO I NEED A REFERRAL?

You do not need a referral to see a Speech Pathologist. You can contact the practice directly to enquire about booking an appointment.

WHAT IF I HAVE NDIS FUNDING?

Little Rockets Speech Pathology are able to see self-managed NDIS participants.

CAN I GET A MEDICARE REBATE FOR SESSIONS?

If you have a Chronic Disease Management Plan you are entitled to 5 rebated sessions per calendar year.
